Who We Are

Our major commitments to our customers are twofold; to offer quality contractor referrals and consumer advocacy.

We strive to provide customers with home repair referrals to reputable contractors who are licensed, bonded, and insured and offer consumer advocacy about your energy efficiency questions and home improvement needs.

ELA is a statewide non-profit trade association which represents the Electrical, Air Conditioning, Heating and other Energy Industries of Arizona. Our organization was founded in 1960 to promote the efficient use of electric energy.

ELA Home Repairs and our nine consumer councils are operated by ELA.

Our Story

1960

ELA is founded to promote the efficient use of electrical appliances in the home to customers and to foster industry education programs for electrical workers.

1970s & 1980s

ELA takes its consumer advocacy mission full-swing in Arizona with cooperation from community partners such as APS and SRP. We launch our first consumer council and contractor referral programs.

1990s & 2000s

ELA launches additional consumer councils to provide reputable electrical, plumbing, and roofing contractors. We implement our service commitment for referrals that is still used today.

2000s & beyond

ELA recognizes and promotes the value of renewable energy resources such as solar and geothermal to help preserve our beautiful state and world for future generations.
